Storm Clean Up Status-Summary from Sunscapes Landscapers
The Storm Clean Up is on track to have all debris picked up by the end of March
Parks
Cut logs are available to residents.
They’re neatly stacked around the base of trees in the parks. Help yourself to as much as you want. We ask that you please take it out of the parks in a wheelbarrow or wagon. No motorized vehicles are permitted in the parks.
Chipped material is available to residents
If you are interested in the chipped material once that phase begins at Little Elm Pond, email parks@inframark.com indicating your interest.
Map Explanation:
- Areas marked in Yellow are expected to be completed by March 18th
- Areas marked in Blue are 90% complete
- Areas marked in Green are areas that will be completed by March 25th
- Areas marked in Lime Green are areas that are completed.
General Updates/Information:
- Work in the parks and ponds is nearly complete. Most of the debris from the Parks has been hauled off already.
- Between the parks and residential areas Sunscape has hauled off or moved roughly 60 -70 loads of stacked brush.
- There are currently two crews working each day in the district. One crew is chipping from house to house and dumping at Little Elm Pond and the other crew is loading and hauling to Little Elm.
- The crews have been working in the district Monday – Saturday with the intent to keep that schedule until completed or they run out of available days to complete. (Note: The Board approved a Not to Exceed amount of the daily rate which amounts to 30 days of work. The Board can revisit that as necessary.)
Help speed up the process:
- Untangle the brush pile and stack debris in small organized piles. Organized piles take about 10 minutes to pick up. Untangling a pile and cutting it in smaller pieces can take an hour or more.
- Bring your brush pile to the Little Elm Pond and deposit in the roped off area created for resident drop-off.
- If you would like to volunteer to help, please email parks@inframark.com – we greatly need assistance from those with trucks, trailers, chainsaws, etc.
There is a lot of work left to do to clean up from the storm. The crews are working tirelessly to pick it all up as fast as they can.
