Hello Neighbors,
A resident has come to the WTC MUD 1 Board requesting to use Anderson Mill West park for an outdoor craft fair in December. Since we are still in the midst of a pandemic, we want to hear from the community before we decide whether or not to allow this event in our public park.
The event organizers will be adhering to CDC recommendations regarding this type of activity. All vendors would be spaced at least 10 feet apart, masks would be required of all persons in attendance, and hand sanitizer would be widely available.
Given that many of the indoor annual craft fairs have been canceled this year, an outdoor event would support local crafters, artisans, and independent business owners during this challenging time. Proceeds from booth fees would be donated to a local nonprofit to support our neighbors in need.
Despite these precautions, we respect that some of you might have concerns about this type of event occurring in our community. Please reach out to let us know how you feel.
