Sun Chase Playscape Closure

During the board meeting on July 19th, 2023, the Williamson Travis County MUD No. 1 discussed, at length, the results of the safety inspection performed on the new playscape installed at Sun Chase park.

While we understand the excitement and anticipation behind this project has been vast, the board cannot risk any one individual getting hurt on a play structure that is deemed unsafe by a certified safety inspector.

At this time the playscape area, in its entirety, has been closed off with orange fencing. This fencing will remain until further decision has been made on what the next steps are. For the immediate future, we will be conducting another safety inspection on the playscape at Sun Chase park, and soon we will be initiating inspections for all playscape and play equipment throughout the district.
