Residential Storm Debris Collection and Transportation

During the special meeting held on 2/8/2023, the MUD board voted to approve Suncapes (the districts landscaper) to begin Winter Storm debris collection and transportation on February 27th, 2023. The crew that will be in charge of these clean up efforts will be collecting debris, from each residence, that is stacked at the curb. Storm debris are NOT to be placed in the street, on sidewalks, or on any district property.

All storm debris, should be cut down to 6 inches in diameter, no longer than 8 feet in length, and piled as neatly as possible at the edge of your property. In most cases this means setting your storm debris right beside the sidewalk on your property. Please keep in mind, sidewalks should not be blocked in any manner.

We ask that all residents have their storm debris at the edge of their property no later than February 26th, 2023, to ensure yours will be collected during residential collection. There will be no additional passes made by residences/streets that did not have their debris collected at their property edge. We highly encourage all residents utilize the cut off date of February 26th, 2023 to ensure your debris are not missed during collection. We do not have a time frame or dates we can offer on when certain streets will be collected, as it all depends on the amount of debris on each street. We do however believe it will take up to 30 consecutive days (excluding holidays and weekends) to complete the residential collection.

Solid Waste Services

During the coming weeks, Waste Management (the districts solid waste contractor) will be sending additional trucks by on our regularly scheduled pickup days to collect 3 yards of brush. While bundling that brush is not paramount, it does make the process of pickup run more smoothly.
